It seems as if the middle piece between the spring and the top turning collar wont go down past a certain point. If you are completely green to the basics of gunsmithing or are unsure at any point during the process, stop and contact a gunsmith or drop the guys at Dead Air a line for advice. Funny thing is that it would stop before it even got to the next stop. Then I put it back on, aligned the middle piece with the small slot, then put the locking collar back on and tightened it, then pulled down the middle piece past the stop, and continued about 3 more times, then it would not turn anymore. I watched the videos where they say this is what it looks like when its not tightened down and its floppy, so I unscrewed it completely off, took off the middle piece and the spring.
I still have an issue with my nomad with the keymo adapter though, as it wont tighten down. I appreciate the help, I can now slide my Sandman directly on and tight it and its beautiful.
